Dreams & Garlic

Garlic
Dreams are funny things.  You just never know what you’re going to dream about.  I had a strange dream last night, (most of my dreams are strange)   it wasn’t very long.  Anyway I dreamt that I was eating garlic cloves, not the usual size cloves, these were large about the size of apple slices.  And they were very tasty.  They not only tasted like garlic, but they were also buttery and had other flavors of which I cannot describe.
I don’t know what all was in the garlic slices, however after eating the first one and while eating the second one I started to laugh uncontrollably, everything was funny.  I was talking with someone and we were just carrying on having a good time.  Someone else said that someone was coming, I don’t know why that should have made a difference, but I started laughing more and said they better not smell our garlic breath, it might make them sick.
That person came into the room, don’t know who it was or even if they were male or female and we just continued to laugh hysterically.  It woke me up.  The weird thing about it, I was still laughing when I woke up and I could still taste the garlic & butter on my tongue.  Weird!
If you’ve had strange dreams that woke you up.  I’d loved to read about them.  Post them in the comment section.

Moving Day

What an interesting day it was today.  I helped a family member move, all started out good.  We went and picked up the truck and took it to the new place.  The movers showed up to unload the truck.  All was good, so far.  I went out to see how things were going and why they hadn't brought up the furniture yet.  Well to my surprise they were gone.  They placed most of the stuff in the yard and on the front sidewalk.

Sayings

Some sayings I came across and wanted to share.

The very first step
Towards success in any
Occupation is to
Become interested in it.

A man can only do what he can do.
But if he does that each day
He can sleep at night
And do it again the next
Day.

You are a mind with a body attached, not a body with a mind attached! Realize this and you are on your way to self-mastery.

Crisis is change trying to take place.

What we think, we create.
What we create, we become.
What we become, we express.
What we express, we experience.
What we experience, we are.
What we are, we think.

A Dog's Purpose? (from a 6 year old)

I got this in an email an thought I'd share it.

A Dog's Purpose? (from a 6-year-old).

Being a veterinarian, I had been called to examine a ten-year-old Irish Wolfhound named Belker. The dog's owners, Ron, his wife Lisa, and their little boy Shane, were all very attached to Belker, and they were hoping for a miracle..

I examined Belker and found he was dying of cancer. I told the family we couldn't do anything for Belker, and offered to perform the euthanasia procedure for the old dog in their home

As we made arrangements, Ron and Lisa told me they thought it would be good for six-year-old Shane to observe the procedure.. They felt as though Shane might learn something from the experience.

The next day, I felt the familiar catch in my throat as Belker 's family surrounded him. Shane seemed so calm, petting the old dog for the last time, that I wondered if he understood what was going on. Within a few minutes, Belker slipped peacefully away.

The little boy seemed to accept Belker's transition without any difficulty or confusion. We sat together for a while after Belker's Death, wondering aloud about the sad fact that animal lives are shorter than human lives.
Shane, who had been listening quietly, piped up, ''I know why.''

Startled, we all turned to him. What came out of his mouth next stunned me. I'd never heard a more comforting explanation. It has changed the way I try and live.

Whether you think you can or think you can't

Whether you think you can or think you can’t you’re right. This is one of my favorite sayings because it’s so true. It goes right along with what the Bible teaches. I’m not just talking about thinking but also about our beliefs of everyday life, where we are and who we are and what we say about ourselves.
If only people would realize the damage they not only cause themselves but others by what they say they would start talking differently. (Well that’s what I believe and hope would happen)
I hear people say all the time how tired they are, that they are not feeling well, I’m getting so old and I get a cold every year (or the flu). I say of course you are, because that’s what you claim all the time.
Several years ago I worked at a pharmacy. During the slow time I would read all the side effects of the prescription drugs on the counter. I was in my late 20’s at the time. I said to the pharmacist, the side effects are worse than the cure, why are people taking all this stuff. (I do understand the need for medication, but so much of it?) I don’t remember what he said however I understood, but then I remember saying to him, I’m never getting sick, there’s no way I want to take any of this stuff. I have been blessed with excellent health before that statement and since that statement. I’m in my mid 50’s now. I’m not going say that I’ve never had a slight illness once in a great while however I have never had to take prescription drugs and I thank God for that always.
There were other things I proclaimed at a young age that for some reason didn’t happen. Looking back I know why they didn’t happen, it goes back to the tongue, what you say to yourself and what you make yourself believe. Somewhere along the path of life I started claiming negative things, wrong thing to do. That just hit me tonight. I ended up working at jobs I didn’t like, I was at one place for 10 yrs and once I left there I did find something I like but it was a seasonal job, so I was back out in the job market. I did find a job, back on the phones again at a collection agency, oh what fun.
Well I’ve changed my mind again this time from negative to positive. I’m no longer going to proclaim this is the only thing I’m suited for; I can do whatever I set my mind to. I know this for a fact whether it be for good or bad. I can do whatever I set my mind to, I’ve learned how to do so many things and have accomplished several things, seems like though we sometimes get in a slump. We get lazy and stop working towards what’s best for us; we set our mind to living the humdrum life because it’s easier to do than to push ourselves and try new things or to get out of our comfort zone.
Through Christ all things are possible and I’m taking Him at his word, with His guidance and help I have a better more loving and challenging life. This new chapter is going to be very exciting. I hope you start a new chapter also if you haven’t already. Jesus said he came to give us life and give it abundantly; all we have to do is accept it. So no longer will I say I can’t do something for I can do it through Christ who strengthens me.

Imagine: Time.

Tossing and turning can't sleep.

A thought enters my mind, what if I could actually turn back time and go to whenever, 10, 15, 20 yrs ago. Just to start somewhat over knowing some of the things I know today. HMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!! Wouldn't that be great? An awesome thing that would be. Time, what a concept. Anyway thinking that I would like to go back so I could rearrange my life, there were other thoughts that arose. Imagine that.
Going back in time to rearrange my life to make it better would have a great effect on everyone I've meant up to this point in my life. If I went back to change it for what I think would be better, it may turn out that it wasn’t better. We really never know how we influence people, whether it is for good or bad. Hopefully always for good.
Thinking about going back and starting over is a grand ideal, however, would it be worth it. If we decided to go back say 20-30 yrs or maybe a bit less and take with us what we know now, and change it, what would the outcome be??? HMNMN!! Good question! We may end up with not having the children or grandchildren that we have. The close friends, the great home, or for that matter a roof over our heads. If we were able to go back and change just a bit those we thought would be beneficial, we might actually end up homeless, or in a war that we never thought would happen.
Although we don't realize it at the time our lives affect many people, whether it's long term or short, that we know them. Just walking down the street and saying hello, hi, or nodding your head in recognition to a stranger or even just a smile makes a difference. That person that you acknowledged just might have been having a really bad day and you just recognizing them probably lifted their spirit, even if it was just a little.
The people we come in contact with, whether at the bus stop, grocery store, walking or where ever we are suppose to encounter. We've all had many friends over the year and lost contact with many of them and made new ones. We need to cherish all the memories and we need to make new memories.
We make a difference in peoples’ lives and they make a difference in ours whether good or not we need to always cherish that and learn from it.
Life is good, life is great and we always need to keep exploring, learning and growing.

Thanks for stopping by. Comments are always welcomed

Just some thoughts for now.

Don't know what to do! I feel lost an abandaned. I often wonder why I can't get the help I need and why am I so afraid. I need $1,000.00 to keep from being eviceted, this amount included back rent and current rent. How am I ever going to get these funds??? I don't know! I have been trying to sell stuff that I no longer have use for and also have tried affiliate advertising, however these don't seem to be working for me.

I have a couple of job interviews on Monday, hopefully I'll get one of them. Hoping that the one that I would seem to like better than the other pays well and I get it. Well that remains to be seen.

Well for the moment all is good, I guess. My kitchen sink is clogged, imagine. Seems to be my life right now, it's clogged! Imagine that. Well all I can say is this: I'm working on getting my life in order once again. It's obviously a life long project. Sometimes it's good sometimes not so much. Oh well.

And there ya have it folks just thought for another day.

To those of you born between 1927-1979

To those of you born 1927-1979
Hi Everyone,
I got this in an email from a friend thought you might enjoy it.
To Those of You Born 1927 - 1979
At he end of this email is a quote of the month by Jay Leno. If
You  don't read anything else, please Read What he said
Very
Well stated, Mr. Leno.
  TO ALL THE KIDS WHO SURVIVED THE 1940's, 50's, 60's , 70's And 80's!!
First, We survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while
They were pregnant.
They Took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can and
Didn't  get tested for diabetes.
Then After that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby
Cribs covered with bright colored lead-base Paints.
We Had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, locks on doors or
Cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had baseball caps not
Helmets on our heads.

As Infants & children, we would ride in cars with no car seats,
Booster seats, seat belts or air bags.
Riding In the back of a pick up truck on a warm day was always a
Special treat.
We Drank water from the garden hose and not from a
Bottle.
We Shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and no
One actually died from this.
We Ate cupcakes, white bread, real butter and bacon.  We drank
Kool-aid made with real white sugar.  And, we weren't
Overweight.  WHY?
Because We were always outside,   Playing...that ' s why!
We Would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we
Were back when the streetlights came on.
No One was able to reach us all day.  And, we were O.K.
We Would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then
Ride down the hill, only to find out we forgot the Brakes.  After running into the bushes a few times,
We learned to solve the problem.
We Did not have Playstations, Nintendo's and X-boxes. There were no Video games, no 150 channels on cable, no video movies or DVD's, No surround-sound or CD's, no cell phones, no personal
Computers, no Internet and no chat rooms.
WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!
We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were
no lawsuits from these accidents.
We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not
live in us forever.
We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays, made up games with sticks and tennis balls and, although we were told it would happen, we did not put out very many eyes.
We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door
or rang the bell, or just walked in and talked to them.
Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team.. Those who
didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment.
Imagine
that!!
The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard
of.  They actually sided with the law!
These generations have produced some of the best risk-takers problem
solvers and inventors ever.
The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas.
We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned
how to deal with it all.
If  YOU are one of them?
CONGRATULATIONS!
You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to
grow up as kids, before the lawyers and the government regulated
so much of our lives for our own good.
While you are at it, forward it to your kids so they will know how
brave and lucky their parents were.
Kind of makes you want to run through the house with scissors,
doesn't it?
The quote of the month is by Jay Leno:
'With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides,
flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one
end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist
attacks, are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the
Pledge of Allegiance?'
For those that prefer to think that God is not watching over
us...go ahead and delete this.  For the rest of us...pass this
on.

Heaven's Grocery Store

Thought I'd share this.
Hi Everyone,
I found this tuck away in one of my bibles thought I'd share it with you.  I have no idea who wrote it.  Enjoy!
 Heavens Grocery Store.
I was walking down life's highway a long time ago.
One day I saw a sign that read Heaven's Grocery Store.
As I got a little closer the door came open wide,
And when I came to myself I was standing inside.
I saw a host of angels they were standing everywhere.
One handed me a basket and said my child shop with care.
Everything a Christian needed was in that Grocery Store.
And all you couldn't carry you could come back the next day for more.
First I got some Patience, Love was in the same row.
Further down was understanding, you need that everywhere you go.
I got a box or two of Wisodom, a bag or two of Faith,
I just couldn't miss the Holy Ghost for it was all over the place.
I stopped to get some Strength and Courage to help me run this race,
by then my basket was getting full but I remembered I needed some Grace.
I didn't forget Salvation, for Salvation that was free.
So...I tried to get enough of that to save both you and me.
Then I started up to the counter to pay my Grocery bill,
For I thought I had everything to do my Master's Will.
As I went up the aisle, I saw Prayer and I just had to put that in,
for I knew when I stopped outside, I would run right into sin.
Peace and Joy were plentiful, they were on the last shelf.
Song and Praises were hanging near so I just helped myself.
Then, I said to the Angel, now how much do I owe?
He just smiled and said, just take them everywhere you go.
Again, I smiled at him and said, how much do I really owe?!!!
He smiled again and said, MY CHILD, JESUS PAID YOUR BILL ALONG TIME AGO!!!

Just some thoughts for now.

Since I'm out of work at this time thought I would try affiliate marketing, so tonight I signed up to a lot of free advertising sites and posted a bunch of ads for different affiliate programs.  Tomorrow I'll do it again.

According to a lot of different web sites out there, there is money to be made being an affiliate, so I thought I'd give it a try to see what happens.
Well I'll let ya know what happens.   I'm curious myself.   It gives me something to do while I look for another job.
